We got up at 7 and got ready. We had scrambled eggs, coffee, grapes, and half a bear claw for breakfast. We finished packing up our last items and left at 9. We drove on Going-to-the-Sun Road until we got to the Logan Pass visitor center. We stopped and went to the bathroom and Tammy and I bought matching mountain goat shirts like Dana's. It's cool because they have three mountain goats on them like the three mountain goats we saw the other day.

We stopped at the Jackson Glacier overlook and took some pictures.

Then we drove until we got to the trail to St. Mary Falls and Virginia Falls. The hike was 1.8 miles to Virginia Falls. Virginia Falls was very misty and you got cooled off which was nice because the trail there was in the open since all the trees had burned in a wildfire. We didn't stay long because it was so wet.

We headed back to St. Mary Falls and found a spot in the shade to sit and eat.

There were people jumping off a cliff into the water below. We were really worried that someone was going to get hurt. As we were leaving, a mom was encouraging her daughter who looked about 6 to jump off. The girl clearly didn’t want to and spent probably five minutes standing on the edge. We were hiking down the trail and heard cheering so we assume that she finally jumped and made it.

Tammy and I hiked to Baring Falls (that the Lakes had already seen) while they went back to the jeep. On the way we had a great view of St. Mary Lake.

The falls were pretty, but there were a lot of people near/in them so it was hard to get pictures. As we were leaving, we saw a deer in the stream getting a drink.

We hiked back up to the shuttle stop and met the Lakes. We climbed in and drove the rest of Going-to-the-Sun Road to exit the park. We then drove outside the park for about a half hour before reentering at Many Glacier.

We hiked 0.2 miles to Fishercap Lake to look for moose. There weren’t any so we continued on our hike to Redrocks Falls. On the way, we saw Redrocks Lake that had a wonderful variety of rock colors and teal water. The falls were beautiful! The water ran over giant red rocks.

On our way back, we checked Fishercap Lake again but still no moose. We decided to eat dinner at the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn at Nell’s restaurant. Tammy and I had delicious macaroni and cheese. After dinner we went back to Fishercap Lake and after waiting a bit, we saw a female moose across the lake! She was eating plants off the bottom near the shore.

We watched for awhile and then headed back to the jeep (Boo Boo). We drove to where were we staying, Duck Lake Lodge.

We did self check-in and got settled in. We had shared bathrooms that were right across the hall. It was already late so we showered and got ready for bed.
