We got up at 6:45. I was really tired from taking seasickness medicine last night before bed. It made me super drowsy for most of the day. We ate breakfast in the Lido Market. I had blueberry pancakes, pan au chocolat, cantaloupe, and V8.

We had to move partway through breakfast because someone must have thought we were done and took our table. After breakfast, we went to the library to grab a crossword puzzle for the day. We worked on it for awhile before attending a wildlife talk in the Rolling Stone lounge at 9. This was followed by a whale talk at 10 on the World Stage. Next we walked around the ship, had tea in the Lido Market and went to the Crow’s Nest on the observation deck to play Super Big Boggle (I won) and Blokus (Tammy won). At 12, we had lunch in the Lido Market. I had taco salad, honeydew, and a cookies and cream dessert.

At 1:00, we played trivia but didn’t do very well. At 2:00, we went to line dancing, which was hilarious with all the retired people on the ship. There was barely any space. We went to the Lido deck to get water, then we headed to the dining room for Royal Dutch Tea. It was very fancy! We sat with a teacher and her husband.

We went back to our room to bundle up. We walked around for awhile trying to find where the bow was open at 3:30 so we could see the Hubbard Glacier. It was huge! You could see that it was really thick. It looked light blue. There were ice bergs floating in the water. One got really close to the boat (or maybe the boat got close to it). We took pictures and then went inside.

At 4:00, we played team trivia and scored 9. We went up to the crow’s nest and played dominoes. We had to sort all the dominoes first, but we were able to find a complete set.

At 6:00, we had dinner at the Lido Market—vegetarian lasagna and honeydew, caramel crepe for dessert, tea and crossword.

At 7:15, we went to the World Stage for the captain’s welcome followed by the dance show.

The dance show was very cool because it incorporated technology behind the dancers. One of my favorite numbers used an outline of an elevator to make it seem like the dancers were traveling up and down an elevator and getting off at different floors to dance. Another number used boxes that the dancers danced “inside.”

We went back to the room and then walked around for some exercise

Showered and went to bed around 10:15.
